I had the fabulous opportunity to speak on the TEDxSeattle stage about the life-changing power of local democracy to improve people’s lives and make our society more just and more fair…

Do you love a functioning society? Do you hate white supremacy? Well I have good news - you can help support the former and dismantle the latter by getting involved in local level democracy.

On May 30th and 31st, I led a community filibuster that broke a 63 year old record. We came together to call attention to the laws and policies around the country that silence the voices of some in order to amplify the voices of others. It happened to be the same night that the protests around the murder of George Floyd spread from Minneapolis to the rest of the country - and around the world.

A year of being in the right place at the right time even when it felt quite foggy in the moment, and a wish for a 2020 of clear vision for us all in the present tense, not just hindsight.

A casual conversation at an open bar event in New York turns into a two week trip halfway around the world, a glimpse of rare black rhinos, and a brush with dengue fever.

We have one more week of performances. It has been a blast. Our cast is fantastic and growing more fantastic every show. Join us!

Urban Pathways is a terrific organization that works to alleviate homelessness in New York City. Homelessness has become an increasingly prevalent issue for Americans struggling as the cost of living increases and income inequality worsens, exacerbating troubles for regular wage earners.
